This year is going to be another year of awesome new games for all ages. And then there’s also the next generation of Xbox coming our way too - the Xbox Two.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, released in 2015. Ori and the Blind Forest is a 2D platformer where you are controlling the character Ori, a white guardian spirit, and Sein, the light eyes of the forest spirit tree. It is a platformer where you must work out puzzles to progress.
So, what are we expecting from its sequel? Coming out on Xbox and PC, we assume that Ori and the Will of the Wisps will have the same sense of platforming and solving puzzles as the original and will keep its main character, Ori, at the centre of the gaming experience. It is also going to contain a system called “soul links” which you can use to strengthen Ori’s skills. I can’t wait!
Trials Rising This new 2D racing game by Ubisoft and RedLynx is another game that’s part of the Trials series that had its first game made in 2000. (Games include: Trials, Trials 2, Trials HD, Trials Evolution and Trials Fusion.) An awesome new feature of loot boxes is being added, where players may get random accessories, from snazzy stickers to slap on your motorbike, to cool clothes for your character and wacky wheel designs to show off while pulling a backflip. That’s not all for new features though. Ever wanted to ride a motorbike with a friend while trying to pull off tricks and land jumps? Me neither, but now you can in the new tandem mode where each player is responsible for their own part of the motorbike to balance and power. But maybe teamwork’s not for you? Maybe you enjoy a little competition. Now you can race your friends for the fastest time while hopping over obstacles and trying not to land on your head. Overall, Trials Rising is bringing a lot of new things to the table that will steal away hours of our time.
Dreams Dreams is a game by Media Molecule, who had recently made LittleBigPlanet, which you will instantly spot connections between. You as the player control an imp that can create characters and items and can manipulate objects by pulling and pushing items. This game is a PlayStation exclusive and is based on the play, create, share, like its predecessor. The imp can possess characters in the dreams and have direct control over them. You may encounter different puzzles that you need to overcome. The best part is that anyone can create a game, no matter how much experience you have - the possibilities are endless. I can’t wait to see what people will make!

Xbox 2 Shrouded in mystery, there isn’t much to say yet on this front, as sources are limited. There is the expected possibility of the 9th generation of consoles and the much-awaited console itself. No-one knows what it’ll be called; but, certainly, there is a possibility that this new console will be the best so far. This brings the question to mind: do we need this new console or is it just new games that we want? Will people really want to buy a whole new console when their current Xbox might already be enough?
